When I took a few years off to pursue my hang gliding dreams back in year 2000, many of my friends wanted to follow my flight stories and my where about. Therefore, I created my hang gliding website to publish news and flight stories. I made some hang gliding screen savers which became very popular and wrote many stories about my long flights and the World record flight. I worked part time and did a lot of flying for 3 1/2 years. Those 3 1/2 years are the most memorable years of my life. Here is a link to my old hang gliding page.

On June 28, 2001, I broke the World's hang gliding distance record. I flew from Zapata, Texas and landed 6 miles south of Abilene, Texas. The straight distance was 369 miles and it took 9 hours and 45 minutes to complete the flight. If interested you can read the details in the following link;

Here is an article in Hang Gliding Magazine about my 154 miles flight in Arkansas. This flight broke the distance record for Arkansas. This was published in Hang Gliding Magazine. I also wrote about my marriage and the possibilities that my flying may come to an end due to my new marriage.

Here is a record flight for state of Florida. This flight took about 8 hours and it started close to Orlando and I ended up landing at the middle of Georgia. This story was published in Hang Gliding Magazine.

After I broke Florida's distance record for hang gliding I had another great flight and it covered 234 miles. This is still Florida's record for a rigid wing hang glider.

When I was flying in Arkansas the newspaper did a story on me and they came to mountain Magazine in Arkansas and took some pictures of my flight. The Article made the front page. Here is a scan of the article.
